Safety and Youth Development
Safety and Youth Development is a priority at York Early College Academy. We are committed to sustaining a safe learning environment for Staff and Students.
Within the pages of this section, you will find information regarding safety regulations, school rules, the NYC discipline code with possible consequences for misbehavior, and several important Chancellor’s Regulations.
The Student Safety and Youth Development Department is led by our Dean of Students, Mr. Michael Gross and supported by our Assistant Deans, Mr. Petrocelli and Ms. Solomon.
If you have any questions regarding information posted here please stop by the Deans office at Room 337 for more information.
Remember, safety is everyone’s responsibility. The Administration and School Safety Agents work together to keep our school community safe.
Discipline Code and Behavioral Contract
The Discipline Code and Behavioral Contract are two components of the city-wide effort to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students. It is extremely important that all students understand the school rules and requirements of behavior. Your cooperation in reading these documents and discussing them with your children is greatly appreciated.
Below you will find the link to the official NYC Citywide Standards of Intervention and Discipline Measures (Discipline Code and Behavioral Contract).
